Missing England

I don't know whats been going on in my mind but I've been missing England like crazy. Seriously, I wish I could book a ticket there right now and fly off tomorrow. If I had all the money in the world, you bet your bottom dollar I would be there.

There is something about England that makes me fall weak at the knees; and its not the super suave accents. It may be all the green grass in the parks, or that you can walk everywhere or take the tub and never have to worry about driving, ever(Since living in California, I hate driving and avoid it as much as I possibly can). Transportation is perfect, the parks are perfect, the people are very friendly to tourists. If I could I would actually move there! The only thing keeping me from moving there is being taxed on EVERYTHING. I'm not about that life.

Maybe one day soon I'll venture back to the beautiful country that stole my heart and never come back. ever.

Have any of you been to the beautiful country? Whats your favorite area to visit???

Puppy Sessions!!!

Recently(4 weeks ago)I got a new little addition to my life, a goldendoodle puppy! His name is George Banks(comment below if you know what movie I got that from) and I love him to bits.

I want to eat him up, I love him so.

Anyway, he has given me inspiration to start dog sessions for those who are just as obsessed with their dog as I am mine!

George Banks

I also got ahold of some other pups to take photos of, goldendoodles too, and I loved how they turned out!

What is with Goldendoodles having two names? Its probably because, why not? They are two different dogs bread together so they have the right to have two names.

I'm having a special now for Marylanders in the Baltimore & Annapolis area for your pups!!

$30
1 hr session
CD of edited images(20-40)
2 4x6 prints

For more information or if you would like to book a session, contact me: lhgphotography90@gmail.com

I can't wait to hear from y'all and your pups!!!

(yes, I do all pups not just doodles!)

Society6 for Laura H Garrett Photography

Finding different ways to share my art and photography has always been a goal of mine. In art school there was never a class on how to sell your art, only to make it. Which kind of puts a interesting kind of stress in your life. Really. Being an artist is all fun and games because you get to be creative but the non fun and games side of it is, I need to eat. Besides photographing weddings, engagements, or seniors graduating from high school, I was never really sure how to get my work out there to sell.

Until now.

Society6 has changed that for a lot of growing artists in the real world, after college, and I couldn't be more please with them. They have a variety of products to choose from that you can put any kind of art work on; from phone cases, tote bags, mugs, and even shower curtains.(CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT??!!)

For my page on Society6, I have a variety of photographs and typography's which were either made through photoshop or captured through the lens on my Canon5d markii; the photographs were taken through out my time in California. From Disneyland to the shores of Santa Monica; I got to see a vast amount of California in two years, besides NorCal, and I'll be making one last trip to Big Sur next week!

I hope you like what you see and shop my Society6 page for some Christmas gifts this year!

Congrats, Seniors!

Photographing Seniors graduating from high school are probably one of my favorite types of photos to capture because they have such open eyes and wide minds that are full of so many opportunities that have yet to come their way.

The first two girls have actually just graduated from College this past spring, which makes me feel so so old.

If you are graduating from high school, or college, this coming year and are looking forward to have some photos taken, please contact me at: lhgphotography90@gmail.com

I am currently living in California so if you are interested in shooting in Maryland, I will be visiting in the next couple of months!!

keep shooting.

Fashion Headshots.

I've always been very interested in headshots and fashion photography but I never really got the chance to do so and practice because none of my friends or family wanted to be in front of the camera...until now.
This past fourth of July weekend I brought my camera along with me up to Big Bear and shot away and it was definitely something I wish I had started a long time ago because I had the most fun shooting away. Some of them are fashionable, some of them are goofy, and some of them have no words but perfect.
